This is a very famous photo taken by a man named Kevin Carter called 'Wanting a Meal'  was taken in 1994. The young child in this picture lives in Sudan which is in Africa where poverty is very high and nobody ever has enough food to always be full. The child in this photo was on her way to a feeding center but collapsed and the vulture has been intreeged so it began watching and waiting. Carter said he chased away the vulture and the little girl continued onto the feeding center. This picture may seem awful but is something that I would think to be very common in Africa because of all the hunger and malnutrition.
